Tasting - Maipe Malbec 2015 - Apr. 7, 2016

Name: Maipe Malbec 2015
Variety: Malbec
Country: Mendoza, Argentina
Year: 2015
Price: $12

Winery Review: "The 2015 Maipe Malbec is another 100% Malbec, with a deep purple color and a style similar to the Lexicon, with chocolaty, blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, as well as touches of licorice and earth. It is delicious, soft and round." (87 pts, Robert Parker)

My Review: This was the winner of the week! This was exactly the type of wine that I like to drink. It was just perfect for the type of pallet that I like to enjoy. The color was very dark purple that just screamed complexity. The smell was blackberry and some vanilla/chocolate. It was full bodied with a lot of creamyness that I absolutely enjoy. It just coats your mouth with the smoothness. I bought this bottle for enjoyment with a nice red meat. Recommended for sure!
